There’s no fair reason for the twists and turns in life. The ups and downs…for the sorrow we feel at the loss of another, no matter they’re rank. Life was a loosing battle; you’re born, you live a life, no mater how short or long and of course death always seemed to come in the end. Still though, the instinct to survive… it would keep once fighting such a battle until one could fight no more. And of course there was always that slim chance that you could in fact do something with one’s worthless life and make living and fighting seem worth it, perhaps there was hope for some worthless fools out there.
The wind, it brushed softly against the emerald needles in the woods like an invisible stream. With it came the scents of so many new and interesting creatures and lands. It was interesting how much one could tell from scents, where another had been, their pack, genders… with the prey it made it even easier to pick out the weakest or the youngest. Like now, the scent carried with it the mountains, forests. There were other males as well, not that it really mattered to me; I’d never been one who wanted to lead a bloody pack, beta was as close I had ever wanted to be to a leader. Far to much responsibility in my opinion.
Ashened pads shifted along the earthly trail. Ash gray tail hung lightly, mild, neither in a dominant nor a submissive manner. Hell, it wasn’t like I was entering a territory of another’s, hardly so, just wandering, padding along in a purposeful manner as though I had some place to go, of which of course I did not. Shadows dappled my silver pelt. Facials were hardened from a life of little leniency. How long had it been since I had known kindness, true kindness? Just thinking about it brought back memories of rivers of blood, torn flesh and that moment, right before death, eye’s giving a flash of desperation, then defeat before the light goes out forever. Thinking back it was a wonder I even managed to survive my first year or this past year for that matter. Cranium was given a gentle shake and my memories suppressed themselves, hiding for now.
The woodland shattered, a field of gold strewn in brown and emerald stalks, they rolled out into the inky horizon for in fact the sun was just setting. Above the tiny stars were beginning to map the heavens in light. The temperature had dropped for the crimson fire above no longer scorched the sky. Life seemed at peace, meaningless almost. I halted to watch the thin sickle moon rise, nothing more then a blemish on the darkness. Nothing more then a dusty yellow in hue. I was alone, all alone, and it wasn’t the pleasant feeling of which I had become accustom. Nasal passages quivered as once more a whiff of other wolves grasped my senses, there were some, closer then others. That is what I needed now I thought in a peculiar manner for never had I felt I needed something besides myself and the freedom to roam. With a sigh which seemed to give me strength from no where I once more stepped forward, this time with more purpose then before.
Time ticked away, seconds became minuets, minuets seemed like they would stretch on for days, which was ridiculous and impossible of course. It was hardly long at all and yet the moon had risen over the horizon and now hung loosely in the sky. It illuminated a lone valley and my pace decelerated slightly though it remain unwavering. Nasal passages quickly caught an unmistakable aroma. Frame came to a halt almost instantaneously. The grass seemed thicker here and although everything seemed still I knew that my scent would be easily noticed. Frame slowly lowered, silver flesh intermingle among the blades. Breath came unhurried, no worries, I had time.

you want a war? you've got a war. but who are you
fighting for? The day was only beginning. Darius had traveled long and hard. He had been off from the claiming grounds. Enjoying his time well spent with the females. Yes, Darius was incredibly successful. He had gotten the love of his life back. Tala. And she should soon be arriving here in Lucam. Her arrival, would be greatly honored. Though he knew that Tala. Always running late, she was. Darius had also visited another lovely girl. Her name was Zii. It was a quick in and out thing. But how could she refuse him? After all, he had so much to offer. Things were getting quite hectic though. The busy king always had so much to do. And then make time for himself. It almost seemed imposible. But he did fine. And already, he was on his way back to his lands. They were something he cherished. Yes, Lucam was his to do what he wanted. And he also owned all of this place. But his small terrain was where he was building his life. And sharing the rest with others. It was nice. But sometimes they got too greedy. None the less, Darius would never be overpowered. He was in charge. And anyone who dared oppose him, would fall without question. Thick pads lifted and struck the earth with a force. He left his prints in the path he followed. Already knowing his way around these fresh parts. Curvature was held high atop his crested shoulders. He was muscular, and big. Whipcord was held in a dominant position. Letting all passers, know he was the leader. He took a liking to his position. And he never rubbed it in anyones faces. It would be unfair, and would not be leader like to do. Insted he just walked about. Taking care of his business. That was the smart way, right? Yes, indeed. Darius passed through many of the different terrains. And soon he found himself at the border of his own. He stopped, admiring the wonderful scenery. Spring time was definately so lush, and nice. It was green, and made him feel alive. Darius picked up scents. None of his females had arrived yet. And he was a bit worried that they had gotten lost or something. His worry dropped, an anger surged through his veins the second he picked up another scent. It was that of a male. Audits laced against his head. Whites bared, and viscious snarls were let out. He was angry. Who dared enter his place without permission? He was furious. And oh if they even thought of challenging him, Darius would show them who was the real boss. There was no questioning that. He loosened his tenseness, and trailed on. There was no need to get all mad now. He would wait until he had the mutt in view. Then his rage would begin.
Darius literally floated as he kept a nice steady gait. He moved smoothly through his lands. He was not worried, just angry. Though he thought long and hard as he traveled. What if this .. male wasnt wanting to challenge? What if he just wanted a place to stay. That was an option too. He could stay as beta. It was a nice title, and Darius needed a strong pack. He had a reputation to live up to. And he had it rough. Having more members would only help him the better. He shrugged it off. He had no clue what the male wanted yet. And his scent became stronger. Darius tracked him down. And sooner than he thought, he was standing right before him. He was a nice silver color. And he looked well muscled. But no where near as big as Darius. The king sized up to the male. Standing a foot away. His threads became thick and they stood up on an end. Making him look even larger and more marvelous. He glared at the male with an intense gaze. He looked mean, but he had a tint of understanding. He spoke with average tones, but they became more nastier towards the end. I hope for your sake, you have only come here for a place to stay. But if you have it somewhere in your mind to challenge me.. He snarled. His caged opened and snapped. Exposing the white of his teeth. Audits laced against his head. ... Then we will have a big problem. Darius kept his nasty look for a long while. But soon he would loosen up. But still showing signs of anger. He had no clue what this.. male wanted. But he had better had good intentions. It would take Darius only a second to snap his neck, and end his bitter life. Now that would be interesting. And so he stood there. Waiting for the response he was looking for.
finished. This is horrible and short compared to what I usually do. Zii, and Tala, you guys can reply here afterward.

Strike a violent pose
These lands belonged to the king, and they were glarious, they were fine and stood proud as the homed their king. Indeed. Zii had taken in Darius' words and arrived at his lands, he had said she could be beta, but she felt she didn't deserve that title, not as of yet atleast, but if the King wanted that, then she wold obey his commands. Darius was rather a charmer, she was pleased to now be residing in his home lands. She had never really been this privelidged, but now was her chance. It was her chance to be well known amongst the others. Maybe one day she'd have a family? There was always a possibility. Now pulling up, she stopped quite a while away from the two wolven which were already upon the lands. Zii titled her crania to the side, her gaze curious yet slightly worried. There were to males, one Darius and the other unknown. The king looked angered, and the other just stood. Maybe the lord had been challenged. Was it best to stay away for a while and let them settle it? Hmm.
After shaking her bod, she picked up her pace and traveled at a slow jog towards the two brutes. "Is everything ok here?" she asked, but she knew everything wasn't ok. That was a fact. If things were ok Darius wouldn't look so angry. Zii's eyes scanned over the other brute before looking back to the king. The early morning sun shone down brightly, it's rays binding the femme causing her to shut her eyes and press her mug to her chest. The sun was warming the earth, and as it rose, it began getting hotter and hotter. The timber wolf was forced to reside in some shade for a while, and whilst she did so, she had a quiet nap. As she woke, she yawned and looked forth, the two brutes were still there. She rose up on all fours before jogging off into the vegetation on the prowl. She was crouched low to the ground, stalking a squirrel. She pounced and caught it between her razor like claws, blood flowing from the small body. Zii's jaws opened and snapped quickly, her blades crunching into the squirrel ending the last remaining seconds of its life before peeling the flesh from it carefully. She ate her snack contently, an after consuming all of the flesh, she began fiddling around with its blooded carcass, pushing it from one paw to the other and back again.
ooc| omigosh, honesty. i'm sure my muse has done one >_< sorry for the absolutely appaling post.

Each chapter in life comes to a close eventually. There’s no denying that life goes on, even if in fact it goes on in an unhappy manner or if you’re one of the poor saps that gets sucked into that happily ever after stuff. Like that would ever last. With every death another life is born, with every horrible thing there lies a small light on the horizon and with every happy moment lies the darkness, hiding, waiting for you. You’re life is what you make it, the choices you make shape you destiny, we make our own destiny, I’ll never believe it was written out centuries before we were born. That would just be ridiculous.
Spring, such evident smells. It was hard to image how anyone could not distinguish it from the other seasons. The world seemed to vibrate with life. The soil felt so alive, everything was alive. Shades of emerald, jade and lime. There were dots of lavender, butter yellow, swirls of white and reds of the flowers. A few mice scurried about, diving for there homes as the scent of the predators. Above a winged creature screeched hotly, perhaps it had missed it’s breakfast, pathetic creature. I remained laying on my stomach, russet brown optics watched the darkness patiently. Waiting, watching, shesh, it seemed like an hour had gone by already… it wouldn’t be too long before the sun rose.
Lobes flickered backward submissively. Nasal passages caught the not too distant scent of another male. I had remained on the boarder of the land, cautious as always. There was no doubt in my mind that the reigning male had picked up my scent, and now would be heading in my direction. Well it sure took him long enough. It seemed only moments before the brute was right before him. He was a good sized alpha. I myself had never had the need to be that large, my muscles were leaner though still far stronger then other’s I had managed to encounter in in my life time. I was built for speed, and I used it to my advantage quite often… managed to keep my alive anyway Optics scanned the brute quiet thoroughly, making sure that no eye contact was made for more then a millisecond. Though I knew I should be I wasn’t scared of him, I was sure though that if I lived long enough to join this pack he would be worthy of my respect.
He was rather close to me. His pelt had risen and his size appeared to double. A typical intimidation tactic, it didn’t both me, I’d seen far worse done to trespassers looking to join clans… I’d done far worse on first encounters when I’d been with my old pack…but that was another story all together. Gaze settled on the brutes ebony paws though I could feel the intensity of his gaze. It would be unwise to cross him I noted with an odd hint of amusement that I made sure to keep to myself.
Lobes cupped forward to catch his words. His snarl would have sent any young pup running for their life. I lay still, unflinching though I gave a mild whine in understanding as I continued to listen. I managed a blink as his jowls snapped threateningly. Now that was more like it. I waited quietly. He looked as if he would be in fact willing to kill me, how interesting. I was patient. Slowly he allowed the hatred to be reduced to simmering anger, well that I could deal with. It was about time for me to speak anyway, I was sure the wolf was puzzled about his purpose here. Well then I guess I’d speak up.
I suddenly caught the unmistakable scent of a female and my gaze quickly shifted to another wolf who had appeared. He ignored her question, figuring it would be answered in one way or another in a moment or two. She wasn’t sore to the eye but my attention was focused on something else. Words flowed quiet easily from my maw. They were calm and level, there way no hint of fear though I made use of my cautious nature and watched what I said. I was vulnerable to him but I didn’t mind, if I went out in this world I’d rather it be in the jaws of someone who was worth fighting. Then I must say I‘m in luck because I have no interest in challenging you. I have in fact against my better judgment seem to be in need of a pack though I find that yours in fact, for from my past experiences there is no doubt that you are the leader of this land and a strong leader at that, is far more then acceptable. If of course you’d have me.
There was a pause as my gaze swept over the details of the female once more who had seemed to decide that it was best to stay away for the time being before adding thoughtfully. oh, my name is Emeryk by the way.

Crave my heart and it's bleeding in your hand
The day seemed to be lasting forever, and it was only nearing noon, she still had the carcass of the squirrel underneath her pads, she was bored of it now. She raised upon all fours, crushing the bones beneath her. A soft sigh was emitted. The cool breeze ruffled her fur, the brightly stained grass swaying gently. A few birds fluttered around each other in the vegetation above, why were birds so.. lovey dovey? Pfft. Ridiculous it was. Wolves were a different matter, it was hard to find a decent mate, hard to find a family, hard to find a good leader, but it all came to you naturally, early or late in life. As for birds, they hatched from their egg, ate, learnt to fly, left home, find a mate, lay some eggs and it starts over again. Silly really. Horses, were always competing against each other to see who had the most equine in their herds, then they bred all of their mares, and they gave birth, to have even more equine. And that happened none stop. As I was saying about Wolves, indeed it was hard to find one to love, and especially for the leader to find one to love. He had many females, and he had to choose, which to have as his mate. Zii was happy, she was going to be beta female, as Darius said so. She watched the two brutes, catching the unknown brutes lyrics. He was only wishing to join the pack? Good. It would be nice to have another male around, that would only be if Darius would accept him. Zii caught his name, Emeryk. That was one she'd never heard before, and it was rather nice at that. She still stayed within the shade, and sat back on her haunches. Her bright optics, scanned the terrain once more. Zii's mine was cast back to her past, it had not been the best, but not the worst. But it was bad enough, she hadn't told anybody of her past, but I suppose you'd like to know? Yes.
She had been born the odd one of the four pups, each pure white with soft grey orbs exept this one. She was stained grey/brown, with one ivy and one saphire eye. Her parents knew it was best to rid of her, so they threw her down a steep banking, causing her to sustain many injuries. Down the banking, lived a pack of wolves nobody knew about, and they took the pup in, and raised her to be a strong and beautiful femme. There, she fell in love with one name Zuco. They both considered each other as mates, but Irony, an unknown, lone brute came. There, he forced Zii, and put an end to her mates life. Months later, she bore Irony's pups, but left them, not nursing them once, and she ran, and ran, as fast as her weak body could go. She traveled alone for several months, healing herself back to what she was before she encountered Irony, that beautiful and strong femme. That was how she arrived here.
As Zii thought back to her past, tears began flowing from her orbs, whimpering softly, she was reduced to a heap on the ground, sobbing heavily.
