On the move again,
Kola moved quietly onto the lands and layed down, Her muzzled still colored red, with a large bit if meat in her jaws. Dropping the doe's meat she ate it rather quickly, then stayed as she was, jaw unhinged just enough for a light pant. But she kept a close eye out. Rather hidden she had thought the same thing before, but she had been found. She wondered agian if a brute was to come and talk to her. She shook her head and walked over to the water, licking her jowls, cleaning up some of the blood before taking a long drink.
I wonder...

Siris loped through the land, moving easily over it, paws hitting the dirt and sending it flying when the paw lifted. His gait was easy, a slow, non-chalant movement. He was carefree today. There was a young pup in his pack, a little one named Reily. He spotted a small pool of water a short distance away and moved a little faster to reach it before the sun did. The pool was calm and cool with only a few light ripples. It was bigger than he had expected; He had only seen the corner. It was refreshing to the Alpha and he drank heavily, swishing his muzzle around even after his belly was sloshing. When he did lift his maw, it was dripping. He followed one drip crawl to the end of his maw and fall down. A form moved in the grass beside him, a few yards away. He looked over at her, brown muzzle still coated in water.
"Hello, miss," he called, stepping closer to the female, taking her own turn at the water. He smiled gently and stopped a couple feet back. He had probably startled her but he wouldn't continue to scare her and get too close.

Kola turned sharply and looked at the brute. Already bristled, though her teeth were hidden. She was getting better at controling this reflex. She glared for a second before standing all the way up. She carried her tail high, like an alpha would...or should. She waited for the bristles to go down before she finally made her reply. Her first time talking to another for months.
Hello.
She stared at him, wondering how he had managed to get this close her before she noticed. She was always alert when in heat like this...

Siris allowed a light chuckle. She was nervous, that was easy too see. He dipped his maw to the female, flicking back his ears as well, but keeping his eyes trained on her. His eyes moved over her stiff form. She was very cautious of him and he took in her full frame before she said a thing. Her tail was held erect, a sign of authority though he could tell she had none. His own tail lifted of its own accord and was at nearly a 90 degree angle as he watched the wolfess.
"Enjoying the day, are you?" He smiled and tilted his head up toward the sky and then moved his eyes over to her. "It's very nice. I love the sunshine." He wagged his tail a few times, as if to reassure her that he would not harm her.

Kola looked at him, her eyes were cold and herd head low, hiding her neck, just in case. She looked over him agian, noticing how he was being...friendly, but she kept her head low, her eyes were locked on him. She was far to seasoned in being a loner to let little words and signs make her believe anything, mainly from the male kind. It would take some time before she would ever trust again. She let her muscles relaxe but only little, barely noticable. She was still ready for anything, at anytime.
Yes, I suppose it is.

His dark pelt was catching the sun's hot rays. He remembered the cool water on his maw and dipped it back into the shimmering pool. He sighed, lifting it out to look back at the female.
"Yes, I suppose it is." Siris's tail again brushed along his back and he gave her an open mawed grin with a pant starting to get heavier. When he noticed how low she was keeping her head he had to hold back a laugh. He raised his own again as if to show her he trusted her and she might think about doing the same.
"Don't worry ma'am. I don't think I could take you. I've got a little girl back home to take care of. She wouldn't be too happy if I didn't come home tonight. You know how puppies are." He winked and turned back to the water. It was teasing him with those ripples and splashes. Deciding he didn't need to frighten the female further, he leapt in, spraying water everywhere on the bank where he had just been. His head rose from the surface, a dark brown against the lighter blue/green.

Kola looked at him carefully. Supposing if he had a pup on his lands maybe, just maybe, he was alright. But what if he was lying? She tilted her head at him, then tucked her hind legs under her and crossed her front paws, resting her head on them. She was at a totally risk right now. Going only on his word. She stared at the water, watching the trout swim by.
Splash. Kola was back on her paws with her head low, body huge with the bristles. Calming down when she noticed he had jumped into the creek she layed as she was laying before, trying not to show how nervous she could get by him doing that.
A pup? How large is your pack?

Siris moved his paws along the bottom of the water until he could no longer touch without his head going under the surface. He pulled his legs from the muddy bottom and propelled himself slowly through the water with a leisurley pace. When he looked back over to the shore, the female was a bit damp but otherwise looking quite untrusting with her eyes on him and her body trying to relax while she lay there. Siris grinned and looked away as if to admire the cat-tails.
"A pup? How large is your pack?"
The male regreted the question. There was only himself and the little pup, it was embaressing. He flicked back his ears and swam closer to the female.
"Unfortunatly, it is just myself and little Reily at the moment. I am Siris by the way, madam. Might I inquire your name?" He stopped and walked to the shallow water where it only came up to his belly.

Kola lifted her head and tilted it at him she had supposed it would be alittle bigger. She knew a small pack could me embarassing, though she didn't really care. Not really her proplem right now. A sigh escaped from her as she stood up walking over to the water and taking a long drink before she looked back up at him.
Kola.

The female was closer now, dipping her head in the water for a drink. Siris waited patiently for her to finish. She really was a quiet wolfess, not really talking unless he said something that called for her to respond. He had just made one such statement and was waiting while she worked on telling him.
"Kola. Siris nodded with a gentle smile.
"Lovely to meet you, Kola. And from where do you come? Have a pack, do you?" he asked. He was sure, by the ruggad look of her, that she was a loner, but you never could tell with females.

No, I've lived most of my life alone.
Kola layed down near the water, looking at him quietly. Her head was on her paws again as she looked at him. Her head was high, and she was only alittle more relaxed. She was begining to trust him. She didn't know why, it was stupid. She had only known him for a short time. She kept her eyes on him, watching him oh so very carefully. She was begining to trust him, if she looked away he could attack. She rested her head again on her crossed paws. She moved her tail alittle further up, so it was curling over her back. Kola watched the water move. A thought pushed into her head. Would she ever live up to her name? Probably not. She had lived to long as a loner to really be much of a 'friend.' To many other wolves. A few yes, maybe. But she lived cautisouly, and nervously. She couldn't help it.

"No, I've lived most of my life alone." He nodded in understanding.
"I had too until I met the little one a few days ago. I had had my pack a few days before that but there were no others around to join me." He looked to the female, his eyes scanning over her like a search light. "Of course, I have just encountered a lone young wolfess. Tell me, do you think she would enjoy a pack?" He flashed her a small grin.
Siris took a few steps back into the water and dipped his neck. His muzzle went under a few inches then tossed up with speed. He had fling water at the female in a playful manner. not enough to soak her but she was, in a word, damp, now.

Kola looked at him and pondered. That had never happened before. She stood up and shook, getting dry again, though the water had felt good. She layed back down and continued to ponder. Then she smiled lightly. One thing she hadn't done in...ever. She couldn't remember the last time she smiled. Weird...
If she were anything like me she would only go if she wouldn't have to be submissive. To anyone.
She looked at him and stood up walking over to the water and walking into it, lapping up alittle bit of water.

Siris watched her. She stood, shook, and went back to laying like nothing had happened. She was a strange wolfess. He shook his head, a few drops of water flying to hit the surface of the lake. His ruff expanded, standing up along his neck. His tongue fell out of his maw as she smiled. A grin of his own crossed his muzzle.
"If she were anything like me she would only go if she wouldn't have to be submissive. To anyone."
"Submissive? What's that?" he asked her with a sarcastic tone and playful smile.

Kola smiled lightly at tilted her head at him. She lowered her back a short ways so it too got wet. She relaxed as she was in the water, she had forgotten about how nice it felt to be in it. She moved around around alittle, before she looked back him again. She looked at the fish swimming around her legs for a few seconds be fore she returned her gaze back to him.
What do you think it is?
Her tone was somewhat playful, as was her smile.
